2 Minute Gold Strategy

Making gold within the realms of Warcraft has always been only has hard as you make it. This will give you enough knowledge in two minutes to make gold for yourself fast.
If you have multiple characters then more options become available to you however even if you only have one, it’s still very possible.
For this mini-synopsis into making gold we will use the professions and look at a method that has worked for me. This is a quick tactic that has assisted me to make gold.
The tactic comes in two parts and represents the resource available (characters on account per realm).

Part 1: Single character on account/realm
The main types of professions are gathering and crafting. To minimise downtime you should do duel gathering as these will allow you to continue levelling whilst making gold. The two I would suggest are mining and skinning as these can start to make you gold straight away whilst you level.
To begin with you will not have much bag space so sell grey items quick to keep as much room for ore and leather that you will collect. Try to obtain a minimum of forty copper ores for smelting into bars and a minimum of forty leathers (four bag spaces). Place these on the Auction House which you will find at all the major cities accessible to you at this low level; Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, Exodar for the Alliance and Undercity, Thunder Bluff, Origimmar, Silvermoon City for the Horde.
The key to making gold is bag space. Once the sales of your auctioned items start bringing in a little gold go and spend some on bags. Six slot bags are usually cheap and can more often or not be bought for a minimal amount. Don’t spend all the money your character has as you will need to pay deposits on auctioned items.

Part 2: Multiple characters on account/realm
With the new expansion Wrath of the Lich King emerges a new craft, Inscription. When I first read about this profession the gold signs just appeared all over it. If you already have a character that is a herbalist then send all their plant loot to your character with Inscription. Make items that use the least amount of different materials as this will conserve numbers and skill quicker. The key to this craft is to get the skill up to make the glyphs and vellums. Glyphs can sell anywhere from five gold to hundred gold. The vellums, weapon or armor can either be sold or used for enchanting. If you have a character enchanter on the same server then send the vellums here to be enchanted. When deciding what to place on the vellums think PVP type enchants as these players tend to be more solo and are always looking for equipment boosts. For example armor vellum two with Assault type enchants can sell between thirty and forty gold each. This particular one is a personal favorite as it always sells quickly on the server I use.

The Auction House:
When placing items on the auction house set a price that is reasonable to ensure a quick sale. For help on what prices to set I recommend getting the Warcraft add-on Auctioneer (add-ons are freely available and easy to find using most search engines).
